Update 11 08 2008 - Spent some time reviewing the notes(and making some notes for follow up) issued by Beth at the first face to face workshop at Blacktown. I also went to the TALS site and did a general search using accounting as the keyword. I scrolled through around 13 pages and spotted some resources that have current training package unit numbers - I will explore these resources at a later date. I then searched the flexible learning tool boxes. I found two. One is for FNS04 (603 Financial Services) and FNB99 (207 accounting). The 603 Financial services has a virtual company environment and uses audio, graphics and text to create a virtual company environment where students have readings, tapes and links for them to use when studying the 'non accounting' type units. I spent some time exploring all the links and tabs and the teacher resources and on first sight I believe it may be a resource that we can use. I might trial this in a get skilled acccounting based course that we are hopring to run in term 4. I also did a brief voice recording with the iriver and found my way to this page. I had to experiment a bit to enter this text. :)
